Preface

&

It is our pleasure to bring to you this special issue presenting original research on Indigenous Knowledge issues and practices. This special issue represents a collaborative effort which brought together many dedicated authors and peer reviewers, the IFLA Indigenous Matters Working Group, and The Serials Librarian editorial team. We are very grateful to all those who contributed to this issue. Special thanks to Stacy Allison-Cassin, Raj Kumar, Collence Chisita, and Rebecca Bateman for their leadership and expertise, which made this issue possible.

Collaborating with the IFLA Indigenous Matters Working Group has created a unique opportunity for us to showcase important projects, theories, and perspectives related to Indigenous Knowledge creation, preservation, and representation. These issues impact many Indigenous communities and the information industry at a global level.

We are honored to feature these important voices in The Serials Librarian and plan to more purposefully incorporate Indigenous issues and concerns into our subsequent publications. We hope you will find these papers as relevant, timely, and thought-provoking as we have.

Happy reading!
