INFLUENCE OF HYSTERESIS ON PERFORMANCE OF SINGLE-SIDED FINITE-LENGTH LINEAR INDUCTION MOTOR

ABSTRACT

The performance of the single-sided finite-length linear induction motor is analysed with special emphasis on the influence of hysteresis effects in the rotor yoke - whose contribution to the working parameters is significant, especially in the low slip region. Dimensionless characteristics are obtained as functions of slip via Maxwell's equations in the air gap and rotor yoke.
