Abstract

Previous research supports the conclusion that the videotape recorder (VTR) is a useful tool in the teaching of communication. The presence of the VTR does not significantly increase anxiety among college‐age speakers. The present study extends this research to high‐school students, and further supports the use of the VTR as a feedback device.
