Developing a Social Enterprise as a Social Worker

Abstract

The author founded a nonprofit bakery that provided employment services for people with disabilities—a social enterprise. This description of the steps in the development of a social enterprise as a social worker is critical, because the current economy demands that social workers have knowledge of social enterprises.
