Abstract

The EuF₃-doped BaZrF₆-NaPO₃ system with different component ratios was synthesized and studied. Phosphate and fluorozirconate glassy phases were formed in the system simultaneously, while europium ions were localized in both the glass matrices. Glasses and glass-ceramics containing crystals of NaZr₂(PO₄)₃ or BaZr₂F₁₆ were obtained. Luminescence activated by Eu³⁺ was found in both glasses and glass-ceramics.
