Notes on contributors
Dr A. K. Asthana. His research interests are morpho-taxonomy, conservation, ultrastructure and ecological aspects of bryophytes. He has also carried out monographic studies on Indian hornworts and Cheilolejeunea. He has been working on the diversity of bryophytes in Eastern and Western Himalayas, and Central India. He is at present working on the floristic diversity of bryophytes in north east India.
Dr Vinay Sahu has research interests in bryology and is working on taxonomy, diversity and conservation of bryophytes. He has carried out plant collection trips to major bryogeographical regions of India and investigated the floristic diversity of bryophytes. He has also studied biomonitoring using bryophytes, in addition to studies on the antimicrobial activities and chemistry of bryophytes.
Mr Dayanidhi Gupta is working in bryology, his main research interest is the morphology and taxonomy of bryophytes. He is at present working on the floristic diversity of liverworts in one of the important reserve areas of Western Himalayas, Govind Wild Life Sanctuary (Uttarakhand).
