Summary
The infralittoral marine flora of Sullom Voe was investigated during July and August 1973. Horizontal and vertical algal distributions and floristic differences between the inner and outer parts of the Voe are outlined. Plant communities of both areas are described in relation to exposure and substrate factors. The possible changes in the marine flora as a result of the large-scale industrialisation of Sullom Voe are also discussed.
