SUMMARY
A new genus and species, Acanthastenasellus forficuloides, (Isopoda Asellota Stenasellidae), from Somalian phreatic layer is described. It is a remarkable stenasellid, bearing long lateral processes on the pereonites and with a greatly reduced uropodal exopod and long endopod but, otherwise, very similar to Stenasellus.
RIASSUNTO
Viene descritto Acanthastenasellus forficuloides n. gen. n. sp., Isopode Stenasellide delle acque freatiche somale. Si tratta di uno Stenasellide singolare, con lunghi processi laterali sui pereoniti, con esopodite degli uropodi fortemente ridotto e endopodite allungato, molto simile per gli altri caratteri al genere Stenasellus.
