Synthesis of Some Specific Types of Voltage/Current Transfer Functions with Minimum Number of Passive Elements and One Active Device

ABSTRACT

In past, many realizations were obtained by intuition, i.e. selected the circuit configuration a priori and then assumed suitable values for the components to realize either a voltage or a current transfer function of some specific orders. In this paper, we propose a true synthesis for three types of functions. It is proved that the minimal realization with all the passive components grounded is possible only for bi-linear functions; however, a wide range of functions can be synthesized with all the capacitors grounded.

He was the guest editor of the Journal of IE on Instrumentation Electronics and Editor for IETE Journal of Education.

Prof Rathore is an LSMof IEEE, Fellow of IETE and IE, Member of ISTE, Instrument and Computer Societies of India.

He has received IEEE Silver Jubilee Medal, and several awards from IETE and ISTE.
