Robert Hull

A schoolteacher for 30 years, Robert Hull later taught literature and creative writing in adult education and university. He also worked as a writer-in-schools. His poetry for children and adults has been widely published; a selection can be heard on The Poetry Archive. His work for children includes poetry anthologies and some thirty other titles devoted to retellings of myth and folktale, and history. His books for teachers The Language Gap and Behind the Poem were re-published by Routledge in 2018. Poetry, from Reading to Writing: a Classroom Guide for 7-11-year-olds, was published by Routledge in 2010.
