ABSTRACT
In this paper, a comparison between two small valley glaciers in northern Sweden, Rabots glaciär and Storglaciären is presented. Measurements on Rabots glaciär over the last decade give the opportunity to validate the representativity of the long mass balance record from Storglaciären for climatic studies. An excellent agreement in the trend of the net mass balance between the glaciers has been found. A comparison between the net annual velocities of both glaciers revealed similar patterns.
