Abstract
Money matters. Many new studies in recent years show that raising incomes of poor parents alone has a direct constructive impact on improving the emotional and cognitive abilities of their children. They also have a measurable effect on improving their earning power as they turn adult and reducing the likelihood they will commit crimes. The authors summarize the most important findings here.
