DETERMINATION OF SYNCHRONOUS MACHINE MODEL PARAMETERS FROM THE CHARACTERISTIC QUANTITIES APPLICABLE ALSO TO SUB-SUBTRANSIENT DATA

ABSTRACT

The paper gives, without simplifying assumptions, a method for the determination of the model parameters of a synchronous machine considering the sub-subtransient quantities. The pertinent additional measurements are also described. Two examples illustrate the application of the method. These also demonstrate the extent to which the assumptions can affect modelling a synchronous machine. The method is as well applicable for modelling with the established transient and subtransient quantities.
