Ferroelectric ceramic toughening by fracture: Cokputer models

Abstract

Toughening mechanisms by the ferroelectric ceramic (FC) fracture using computer simulations are studied. Within bounds the joint consideration of the sintering and fracture the processes of the microcracking, crack branching and bridging, crack interactions with damaged material and morphotropic transitions regions (MTR) effects are investigated.
