JACN Names New Editor-in-Chief

We are very pleased to announce that Dr. Rachel Kopec has assumed the role of Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the American College of Nutrition as of January 1, 2020. Dr. Kopec joined the Journal team as an Associate Editor in January 2018 and brings a deep understanding of the journal and its editorial processes as well as a wealth of knowledge in the realm of personalized nutrition science.

She received her PhD in Human Nutrition from The Ohio State University. Her thesis work focused on the deposition, metabolism, and bioactivity of carotenoids and she continued this investigation during her postdoctorate at INRA (Institut National de la Recherché Agronomique). She is currently an assistant professor of human nutrition in the Department of Human Sciences at The Ohio State University.

We also wish to acknowledge the prodigious efforts of the outgoing Editor-in-Chief, Dr. William Kraemer, who has steered the journal steadily forward over the past three years. Dr. Kraemer has agreed to stay on as an advisor to the journal and to Dr. Kopec. Dr. Taylor Wallace will continue his service to the editorial board, continuing in his role as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief.

As we embark on this new chapter in Journal publishing, we salute our entire editorial team that have contributed to the journal's prestige and ascendency over the past years while we look ahead to the growth and continued excellence of the nutrition field.
