Quantitation of Cytidine 3′,5′-Cyclic Monophosphate in Aqueous Solution by UV Absorption Spectrophotometry Independent of Direct Determination of Solution pH

Pages 1009-1018 | Published online: 21 Aug 2006

Abstract

uv absorbance spectrophotometry is the routine method of determining nucleotide concentrations in solution. To obviate the need for determining solution pH a method is described whereby cyclic CMP concentration in aqueous solution is calculated from absorbances at four wavelengths: the rationale is of general applicability to nucleosides and nucleotides.
