Abstract
Taking inspiration from a clinical case, this article explores some specific passages of internal contact occurring between the patient and the analyst when an interpsychic activity is working, in relation to psychoanalytic interpretation. Contrasting the interpsychic and the transpsychic exchange, I first present my personal vision about the difference between interpsychic, intersubjective, and interpersonal; then, I introduce the concept of consubstantiality, which in my opinion can enrich the depth, potentiality and effectiveness of analytical interpretation, as substantiated by the aforementioned clinical vignette.
