John McCarthy ([email protected]) is Professor of Applied Psychology at University College Cork. His research is concerned with theoretical and methodological foundations of experience-centered HCI Design, most recently with respect to people with dementia and their carers, as well as in relation to the emergence of digital communities and publics as expressions of civic (dis)engagement.

Peter Wright

Peter Wright ([email protected]) is Professor of Social Computing at Open Lab, Newcastle University’s interdisciplinary center for digital design and research. He is best known internationally for his work on human-centered design and user experience with digital technologies. He is involved in a range of research projects spanning digital health, education, culture, community, and civics.
