Leiber, M. J., Peck, J. H., & Beaudry-Cyr, M. (2014). When does Race and Gender Matter? The Interrelationships between the Gender of Probation Officers and Juvenile Court Detention and Intake Outcomes. Justice Quarterly. doi: 10.1080/07418825.2014.958185
When the above article was first published online, the data for “White female” in Table 4 were incorrectly shifted three columns to the right. This has now been corrected in both the print and online versions as follows:
Table 4 Logistic regression coefficients for detention and intake decision making—differentiated by gender of officer involving race/gender comparisons
Notes: Control variables included in all models. The size of a change in odds depends on the sign of the coefficient. Negative effects are constrained to be between 1 and 0, whereas positive effects range between 1 and infinity. Therefore, positive effects may appear to be larger than negative effects. To make the comparisons more comparable, the inverse of the odds ratio was used (Long, 1997).
1Regression coefficient; Exp(B) is presented in parenthesis ( ); *p < .05; **p < .01; †Comparisons of coefficients produced significant z-score at p < .05; ††p < .01.
