Abstract

Professor Efromovich makes an important contribution to the application of sequential methods in heteroscedastic nonparametric regression. In our discussion of his paper we focus on some points related to the practical applications of the derived procedures. We also sketch some possible extensions of the results of Professor Efromovich that are of special importance for practitioners.
