Abstract
A (co-)founding editor of this prestigious journal, Professor B. K. Ghosh (BKG), passed away at the age of 72 on August 3, 2008. This tribute to BKG includes my reminiscences of him and what I believe to be his most important legacy. It ends with some personal recollections from BKG's niece, Mallika Ghosh, in her own words.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
The photo in Figure was kindly provided by Becky Ghosh (BKG's daughter) through Mallika Ghosh and those in Figures and came from Mallika and her family in Calcutta. Thanks to all of them. I express my heartfelt appreciation to Mallika for sharing personal memories of her uncle. I also thank the Associate Editor for a number of helpful comments.
