When the above article was first published online, the sentence “After adjustment, children in the obese and overweight categories had a BP that was on average 4 (95%CI 2–6) and 8 mmHg (95%CI 6–11) higher than those of normal weight” was incorrect. This has now been corrected in both the print and online versions to “After adjustment, children in the overweight and obese categories had a BP that was on average 4 (95%CI 2–6) and 8 mmHg (95%CI 6–11) higher than those of normal weight”.
