Eliana Rodrigues Pereira Mendes
Eliana Rodrigues Pereira Mendes is specialized in clinical psychology and is a psychoanalyst of the Circulo Psicanalítico de Minas Gerais (CPMG), affiliated to the Círculo Brasileiro de Psicanálise (CBP). She was president of CPMG from 1999 to 2001, and from 2011 to 2014. She is also a teacher of psychoanalysis and culture on the CPMG program for training analysts and has been in private practice since 1970. Since 1998 she has been a delegate from Brazil to the IFPS, as well as being regional editor of IFP for South America from 1997 till 2020. She has published several articles in books and journals in Brazil as well in the IFP and has been guest editor for three of the journal’s issues: “Social realities and psychoanalysis,” “The multiple faces of perversion,” and “Psychoanalysis and work in contemporary times.”
