The International Forum of Psychoanalysis was first published in 1992 and had as its first Editor-in-Chief the Stockholm psychoanalyst Jan Stensson; he edited the journal until 2004, with Christer Sjödin joining him in the task from 1999. Christer Sjödin then edited the journal alone from 2004 until 2007, when Marco Conci joined him as a Coeditor-in-Chief. In 2014, Christer Sjödin gave up his role, and Grigoris Maniadakis was appointed as Coeditor-in-Chief in his place. The IFP has been included in the PEP-disk since 2004.
