Barry Gills is Professor of Development Studies at the Department of Political and Economic Studies, University of Helsinki, Finland. He is Editor-in-Chief of Globalizations journal and founding editor of the Rethinking Globalizations book series (Routledge) and a fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science. He has published widely on the politics and political economy of development and globalization, social resistance and transformation.
