Samira Marty is a PhD student in Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo, Norway. Her MA thesis on indigenous women’s activism in Guatemala was published, as a monograph in German, Das weibliche Gesicht des Widerstands (Promedia 2017). In her PhD research, Marty works on the socio-political crisis in Nicaragua from the perspective of the Nicaraguan diaspora in Berlin, Germany.
