1A clear candidate for an ethnographic—in the symbolic, speech-community-specific sense—term. Questions like “best according to whom? Best for what purposes, at the (potential) expense of what other outcomes/purposes?” have led the politically aware to switch to good practices. As with many self-aware terminology shifts, this alternative suffers from the usual lag between adoption and comprehensibility.
