Boston University Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center/The Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change

Boston University Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center was created in 1963 as Special Collections and renamed forty years later in honor of its founder. The Center specializes in contemporary historical figures, such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., but also holds material dating back to the sixteenth century. As part of the Center, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Archive holds material related to King's life and career, the scope of which dates from 1947–1963, www.bu.edu/dbin/mlkjr/. The Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change is a nonprofit archive and memorial site established in 1968 by Coretta Scott King. Located on Atlanta's historic Auburn Avenue, archival material housed at the Center is managed by Intellectual Properties Management, the exclusive licensor for the Estate of Martin Luther King Jr., Inc., www.thekingcenter.org/archive.
