CORRIGENDUM

Corrigendum

This article refers to:
The Princess and the Squaw: The Construction of Native American Women in the Pictorial Press

In the article “The Princess and the Squaw: The Construction of Native American Women in the Pictorial Press,” by John M. Coward, published in American Journalism, vol. 31, no. 1, pp. 71–99, there was an error in the text on page 77. Instead of reading “300,000 war illustrations,” the text should have appeared as “3,000 war illustrations.” Here is the updated sentence: “Leslie once boasted of having more than eighty artists covering the war and, by war's end, claimed to have published some 3,000 war illustrations.”Footnote1
