Abstract

Ambiguity tolerance, conflict management style, and argumentativeness are examined with respect to innovativeness. Ninety‐six K‐12 teachers of a non‐urban public school district, which claims to have several of the structural attributes of an innovative organization, were surveyed. The three variables are related to innovativeness in the predicted directions. Ambiguity tolerance, argumentativeness, and solution‐oriented conflict style are positively related. Controlling and nonconfrontative conflict styles are negatively related.
