Preparing Future Managers to Deal with AIDS/HIV in the Workplace

Pages 258-262 | Published online: 31 Mar 2010

Abstract

How to effectively deal with employees affected by AIDS and HIV (the virus that causes AIDS) is a topic seldom discussed in workplace management education programs or by management educators in their classes. Yet, with the rapidly increasing number of affected workers, it is imperative that managers learn how to deal with the challenges of AIDS/HIV in the workplace. This article describes how business schools can be an appropriate venue for educating future managers about AIDS/HIV.
