Abstract
The relationships of achievement strivings (AS) and impatience-irritability (II) dimensions of Type A behavior to academic achievement as indicated with the American College Test (ACT), grade point average (GPA), and course grade (CG) were investigated with structural equations models in a collegiate sample of business majors. AS, but not II, was positively associated with academic achievement (as indicated with GPA and CG). AS and II were not associated with ACT, but ACT was positively associated with GPA.
