Abstract
The following article is a companion piece to Walter Emery's “A Comparative Study of Broadcasting Law and Regulations in Mexico and the United States,” which appeared in the Spring issue of the Journal. Based upon the latest official documents and the fruits of a number of visits to Mexico, this description of broadcasting in our nearest neighbor to the South is designed to give “flavor” as well as data. Dr. Emery, a frequent contributor to the Journal, is Professor in the Department of Television and Radio at Michigan State University.
