Abstract
Information quality is a very important issue in e-Business, yet little has thus far been reported on issues of information quality in e-Business environments. This paper reports on the current research, which examines such issues in e-business systems. The exploratory research examines several e-Business organizations, through a variety of web sites analyses as well as interviews with key personnel. It proposes that two-way communication between users and e-Business systems is necessary in order to improve the quality of the information of such e-Business systems. Research findings reveal that very few controls and validation activities exist. The importance of information quality in the e-Business systems needs to be accepted by the various stakeholders.
