Deirdre d'Albertis is Professor of English and Associate Dean of the College at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY. Her research focuses on women's writing in the long nineteenth century with particular focus of late on transnational feminist networks in Britain, the United States, and northern Europe. She has published on George Eliot, Margaret Oliphant, Charlotte Brontë, Emily Brontë, Eliza Lynn Linton, Mary Howitt, Fredrika Bremer and is the author of Dissembling Fictions: Elizabeth Gaskell and the Victorian Social Text.
