Thomas H. Ford is an ecophilologist of the Anthropocene. His recent publications include A Cultural History of Climate Change (Routledge, 2016) and Wordsworth and the Poetics of Air (Cambridge University Press, 2018). “Frankenscription” is the third in his series of ugly neologism papers, which also includes “The Romanthropocene” (Literature Compass 15 [5], 2018) and “Echohistoricism” (Romanticism 24 [3], 2018).
