Kathrin Levitan
Kathrin Levitan is an Associate Professor of History at William & Mary. Her book, A Cultural History of the British Census: Envisioning the Multitude in the Nineteenth Century was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2011. She is currently writing a book about the history of letter-writing and the Post Office in the nineteenth-century British Empire, and has published articles on migration, letter-writing, travel, and Elizabeth Gaskell.
