Monica F. Cohen

MONICA COHEN is a term lecturer in Comparative Literature and English at Barnard College, Columbia University, specializing in the literature and culture of the long nineteenth century. She has published widely on the British nineteenth-century novel. Her books include Professional Domesticity in the Victorian Novel: Women, Work and Home (Cambridge University Press 1998) and Pirating Fictions: Ownership and Creativity in Nineteenth-century Popular Culture (University of Virginia Press 2018). She is currently working on adaptation practices.
