Notes

1 All the texts related to this game are reproduced from tweets published that day, collected by way of Storify: https://storify.com/albertochimal/amalgamas (accessed 22 October 2014).

2 This tweet mixed the names of Chilean writer Roberto Bolaño and Mexican writer and television celebrity Roberto Gómez Bolaños. The latter is famous in Latin America (and sometimes mistaken for Bolaño) for his comedy show El Chavo del 8 [The Kid from Number 8], among others. Similar fusions of “highbrow” and pop culture in these examples reference such local celebrities as Mexican norteño band K-Paz de la Sierra and singer Laura León.
