Federico García Lorca
Pablo Neruda and Federico García Lorca recited this joint speech at a conference dedicated to Darío at the Buenos Aires PEN Club in 1933. Two of the most celebrated Spanish-speaking poets read this playful dialogue as they stood at opposite ends of the dinner table, “bound by an electric wire.” The text attempts to recuperate the memory of Darío and praises him as master poet and a figure with enduring transatlantic literary influence.
