Alfredo Bryce Echenique
Alfredo Bryce Echenique (Lima, 1939) lived for more than three decades writing and teaching in France and Spain, returning to Peru in 1997, where he still lives. He has published nearly twenty works of fiction, including the novels Un mundo para Julius (1970; A World for Julius, 1992), La vida exagerada de Martín Romaña (1981; The Exaggerated Life of Martín Romaña), La Amigdalitis de Tarzán (1998; Tarzan’s Tonsillitis, 2002); and El huerto de mi amada (2002; My Beloved’s Garden).
