Lisa Block de Behar

Lisa Block de Behar (Montevideo, 1937) is a professor of linguistics, literary theory, and communication at Universidad de la República, Uruguay. Her books include studies of Borges, Bioy Casares, Louis Auguste Blanqui, and Jules Laforgue. She is the author of A Rhetoric of Silence and Other Selected Writings (1995), and edited an anthology of Emir Rodríguez Monegal’s work for Biblioteca Ayacucho (2003). She is the director of the online library Anaforas ( http://anaforas.fic.edu.uy/jspui/ ).
