Djamila Ribeiro

Djamila Ribeiro (Santos, São Paulo, 1980) is a Black Brazilian feminist activist, journalist, and scholar. She has published extensively on feminist theory, particularly Black feminisms. Ribeiro is also a prolific blogger, and has written regularly for Carta capital, Blogueiras negras, Lugar de mulher, and the Boitempo blog. She is currently a columnist for the prominent Folha de São Paulo newspaper. Among her books are Quem tem medo do feminismo negro? (2018; Who’s Afraid of Black Feminism?) and Pequeno manual antirracista (2019; Little Antiracist Manual).
