Joyce Viana

Joyce Viana (b. 1995) is from Rio de Janeiro. She is pursuing a degree in Portuguese Letters from the University of Brasilia and is a writer and Black performer. She composed the performances titled Anastácia, nosso Exu (2018;Anastácia, Our Eshu), Maria é culpada parte III (2018; Maria Is Guilty Part III ), and Temp(l)os em mim (2019; Temples in Me). She is the author of the Poesia oferenda (Poetry Offering) page (@poesia.oferenda), which is published on Facebook, Instagram, and on the Médium platform, where she posts her Black writings. She was one of the founders of the Diretório Negro Quilombo at the University of Brasilia (UnB), established in 2016.
