This research was undertaken in the interest of corroborating expected and unexpected findings of an earlier study of interaction involvement and nonverbal behavior. Some support was found for the prediction that involvement would relate positively to object‐focused gesturing and eye gaze and negatively to body‐focused gesturing and body movement. No support was found for earlier sex differences in high‐ and low‐involved individuals’ nonverbal behavior.
