Eric von Hippel

Eric von Hippel is T. Wilson Professor of Innovation Management at the MIT Sloan School of Management and also a professor of engineering systems at MIT. He is known for his research into the sources of innovation. He has written three books on these topics and published many articles on innovation and innovation management, ranging from the theoretical to the very practical. He holds a BA from Harvard College, an MS from MIT, and a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University. He is the recipient of three honorary doctorates and numerous honors and academic prizes, including the Humboldt Foundation Research Prize in 2013 and the EU Innovation Luminary Award for 2015.[email protected]
