Abstract
Recent succesful construction of high-resistance electrical plugs for applications in gaseous high-pressure chambers allowed an investigation of pressure effects on the low currents injected to insulating organic materials of which anthracene crystals is a model example1,2. An analysis olf the preliminary egperimental data on the dark1 and photo-enhanced space-charge-limited currents (SCLC) showed the pressure modification of the current values and shape of their voltage and light intensity characteristics to be much stronger than that resulting from the standard theoretical description involving the crystal compressibilities determined by observing piston tisplacement in a static high-pressure apparatus3
