About the author

Steven E. Rigdon is a Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, College for Public Health and Social Justice at Saint Louis University. He has been on the faculty at Saint Louis University since 2012. From 1986 to 2012, he was on the faculty at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where he is now a Distinguished Research Professor Emeritus. From 1982 to 1986, he was a Senior Mathematical Statistician for Monsanto. He is the coauthor of Calculus, 8th Edition and 9th Edition, published by Pearson, and Statistical Methods for the Reliability of Repairable Systems, published by Wiley. He has served on the editorial review board of Journal of Quality Technology and is currently the editor-in-chief of Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Sports, a publication of the American Statistical Association, and is a guest editor for Quality Engineering for the papers presented at the 2018 Hunter Conference. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association.
