Abstract

This paper aims to show a case study of gearbox quality improvement in Company D. First, quality improvement actions are prioritized through quality function deployment methodology. Second, product performance prediction models are established based on process failure mode and effect analysis and Monte Carlo simulation. Torque and angle methods are used to further improve process prediction. Then, support vector machine based real-time prediction mechanism is built for dynamic prediction of new processes. Finally, a quality prediction information management system is developed. This study effectively addresses the actual problems of Company D and provides reference for quality prediction of similar products.
