Abstract
By fictionalizing the life of a person from the past, biofiction can effectively expose an injustice in the present. This is what Joanna Scott does in Careers for Women, a biographical novel about Lee K. Jaffe, the woman who had the vision of building New York City’s Twin Towers. In our interview with Scott, we discuss the novel’s portrayal of women who navigate male-dominated power structures and her use of biofiction to expose timeless gender-based prejudice in the workplace.
